TRAVEL | Taiwan 7D6N Itinerary 台湾之旅 : Day02 - Rainbow Village

Taiwan 7D6N Itinerary 台湾之旅 : Day02 - Rainbow Village 台中彩虹眷村

After a light breakfast, we hopped into the shuttle bus and off we headed to our first destination - the Rainbow Village!

Place of interest : 台中彩虹眷村 (Rainbow Village)
Opening hours : 8am-6pm (weekdays), 8am-7pm (weekend)
Location : Chunan Rd, Nantun District, Taichung, Taiwan 408
Admission : FREE, no ticket purchasing required

** Venue is reachable by shuttle bus (+ abit of walking) & bus fare is FOC if it's within the district. **

What to do at the Rainbow Village?
- Nothing. Take photos, take photos and take photos. (˘◡˘)
- Explore every inch of the village and appreciate the unique artwork of Rainbow Grandpa.
- On certain day, if you're lucky, you will get to meet the "彩虹超人" aka the Rainbow Superman who'll be wandering around with his guitar, performing to public.

All the art here is the creation of this talented 90 years old grandpa, aka 'Rainbow Grandpa'. Definitely one of a kind. You might wanna grab yourself a postcard or some souvenirs before heading off as all are handmade based on Grandpa's artwork and they only sell it here if i'm not mistaken.

Every corner of this place is art, painted affectionately by Rainbow Grandpa. Camera worthy and a very good spot for OOTD post as well :p haha Basically there's nothing much here. But still, personally, i think it is worth a visit. This place is actually quite special with pretty unique artwork and it is definitely not something you'll see in your everyday life! So if you are an art enthusiastic, you might wanna drop by here :)

Just incase this might caught your interest, this is what i had for my breakfast. This stall located just a stone throw from our hostel. They call it "蛋饼" in Chinese, some sort like Egg Pancake or something. Quite nice, i like it. Something new, as i don't remember seeing this in Malaysia. Very cheap yet tummy filling. Only cost about RM1+ per piece. Try it :)

Look out for my upcoming post on the rest of my Taiwan itinerary.
Pretty sure it won't disappoints you! xx (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥
